Covering the same core content as our two-day, in-person training, the online course combines a comprehensive training manual with supporting tutorial videos, allowing you to learn at your own pace.
Whether you're a yoga teacher, holistic therapist or simply passionate about sound and relaxation, this course provides the knowledge and practical skills to begin facilitating your own sessions.
No previous musical experience is required.
60 Days to Complete Your Training
You have 60 days from receiving your course materials to complete your training and submit your assessments.
As the online course covers the same content taught during our two-day, in-person training, 60 days should provide ample time to complete the course.
Most of this time can be dedicated to practising with your instruments, developing your playing techniques and preparing for your final practical assessment.
The course is available on demand, so you can start whenever you're ready. Personal tutor support is available via email or an arranged video call throughout your 60-day training period.

The course places particular emphasis on developing practical skills, understanding safe practice and creating continuous, evolving soundscapes that support relaxation.
Minimum Instrument Requirements
As this is a practical course, you will need access to the following instruments:
Two singing bowls: Tibetan or crystal singing bowls, or a combination of both. At least one must be 6 inches (15 cm) or larger.
One gong or tongue drum: A gong measuring at least 18 inches (46 cm), or a tongue drum such as a HAPI drum.
One additional instrument: Rainstick, chimes, waterfall shaker or thunderbox.
These are minimum requirements. Having additional instruments will allow you to create a more varied soundscape, although borrowing instruments is perfectly acceptable.

Assessment and Certification
To successfully complete the course, you will need to pass two assessments:
1. Multiple-choice assessment – Testing your understanding of the course content, including instrument use, session planning and safe practice.
2. Practical video assessment – Submit a 30-minute video of a sound bath you have facilitated with at least two participants, demonstrating your playing techniques, instrument sequencing and session structure.
Full assessment guidance is provided with your training materials.
Both assessments must be submitted within the 60-day completion period.
IPHM Accredited Training
Our Sound Therapy Practitioner Training is accredited by the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).
Upon successfully completing both assessments, you will receive a certificate of competence from UK Holistic Training, which can be presented to professional insurance providers when seeking appropriate practitioner insurance.
Insurance eligibility and cover are subject to individual provider requirements.
